Luuuuuuucky bastard. We had a trip to Fiji planned, but then there was a tsunami, so we thought we'd put it on hold. Now we've spent the money.

Oh man, you lucky bastard indeed. Are you staying at the resorty side or hut side? Really liked the Paradise Inn in town. No beach there to speak of, but with cold beers in the fridge.....

I looked at the Paradise quite closely, because it was well priced for a motel. But then I decided to go down market but splurge every night by going to flash restaurants. A wise choice, as it happened, because it rained damn near the whole time I was there but at least I ate well!
cheaper digs for better food, a man after our own hearts. Did you get your fill of roti and Chinese in Penang?
